Ambassadors Needed

Alumni & Retirees are needed to serve as Ambassadors. An affinity group of cheerleaders, navigators, panelists, guides and mentors that enrich our on-campus learning experiences and events. Minneapolis College volunteer ambassadors give of their time and talent to support our student scholars.

Spring 2024

College & Career Day | Help guide Minneapolis Public School Eighth grades as they explore hands-on stations.  Various days between February and April from 9 - Noon.

Commencement Day | Share your story with recent grads at Commencement while tabling at the Alumni Network Table.  May 13 from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Minneapolis Convention Center.

Mentor for a Day | Share your story with current students in a classroom.  Dates & Times based on your schedule.

All opportunities on campus include free parking and an alumni gift bag.

Hennepin Connections

A Mentoring Program with Minneapolis College Students

The Hennepin Connections Mentorship Program provides mentors to students who have experienced homelessness or poverty, in order to provide support and encouragement to reach personal, academic, and career goals. The Basilica SVdP Mentoring Program works with Minneapolis Community & Technical College.

Volunteer at the Student Food Pantry

Food Pantry is looking for volunteers to help stock shelves and be a personal shopper for students. The Food Pantry is located in T.1220 across from the bookstore.  The pantry is stocked during the week and food is distributed every Wednesday from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.  Contact the Resource Center to get details about volunteering.
