Student on hold
- Common registration holds include academic suspension or unpaid balance.
- See below for a list of common student account holds
Student must take/pass test or satisfy course prerequisites
- If you see this message, it means that the registration system was not able to verify that you’ve met all of the prerequisites for the course.
- Learn about the prerequisite screening process
Requested course is full
- The maximum number of students are registered for the course and there are no open seats available.
- Prior to the first day of the term, you can add yourself to the wait list
Only defined majors may register for this course
- Only students who have declared certain majors may enroll.
- If you are not in that major, you will not be able to take the course. If you are intending to pursue that major, you will need to complete a Change of Major form to update your record.
Student program required for this course
- Only students who are admitted to certain programs may enroll.
- If you are not in that major, you will not be able to take the course. If you are seeking admission to that program, contact the Admissions Office.
Exceeds maximum credits allowed for this term
- Students may only take up to 19 credits per term, unless they obtain permission from the Registration and Records Office.
- Permission to exceed this limit will be granted if certain criteria are met (College Policy 4.05) - Contact the Student Services Center
Immunization info required for registration
- Minnesota law requires college students to verify that their immunizations are current.
- Submit an immunization form
Not a valid course add date
- The last day to add the course has passed.

Course requires special permission
- Some courses are set up so that the instructor can control who enrolls.
