College in Prison

A truly transformative approach to higher education in prison requires a coalition of committed practitioners working together to reimagine what’s possible—one where education affirms our humanity, fosters transformation, and builds strength from within. The goal is to co-create new, collaborative forms of higher education for justice-impacted individuals. These models are rooted in mutual respect and shaped by shared values, growing from the inside out through meaningful connection and a commitment to inclusive ways of learning and teaching. 

Transfer and Mobility: TREC students completing their AA Liberal Arts degree can transfer all 60+ credits to Metro State University towards their 120credit BA in Individualized Studies degree.
