LUCHA (Latinos Unidos for College and Higher Achievement) is excited to host COPAL (Comunidades Organizando el Poder y la Acción Latina) again this year to offer students an informative session on civic engagement and participation. 


Thursday, October 2 from 1–2 p.m. in LUCHA Center (H.2701)

Students who attend this crash course will learn of various ways to participate civically and be introduced/affirmed of the impact of the Latino Vote in Minnesota.

  • What is civic engagement?
  • What can civic participation look like?
  • Is voting the only way to have my voice heard?
     

Attend this crash course and get help identifying:

  • what the ballot could look like
  • local issues that may appear on the ballot
  • how to/where to go to vote
