Students are frequently required to obtain enrollment verification or certification of enrollment status from governmental or private agencies.

Enrollment status at Minneapolis College is defined as the following:

  • Full time: 12 or more credits
  • Half time: 6-11 credits
  • Less than half time: 1-5 credits

National Student Clearinghouse

The National Student Clearinghouse provides enrollment and degree verification on behalf of Minneapolis College. Whenever possible, you should request proof of enrollment or degree verification by providing this information to the appropriate third party.

Verification forms and letters

If you need an official letter indicating your current enrollment status, or if you need to have a form filled out that verifies your enrollment, visit the Student Services Center (T.2100) or contact us online. In all cases, Minneapolis College will only verify items identified as directory information under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974.   • To ensure accuracy, enrollment verifications will not be provided by the Student Services Center until after the tenth day of the term. 
  • The Student Services Center cannot verify future or anticipated enrollment. However, some agencies may accept a student-provided copy of your course schedule for an upcoming term.
